In the mid-to-late 1970s, disco music ruled the charts and airwaves and filled dance floors all over America.
KC and the Sunshine Band, with five No. 1 — “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Shake, Shake, Shake (Shake Your Booty),” “I’m Your Boogie Man,” and “Please Don’t Go” — and several Top 40 hits, were arguably the kings of disco music.
